Township is a free to play city simulator game. Take control of a town, create new buildings and play with others via in game events and co-op modes.
Take the reins
Township is centred around increasing the size and functionality of a virtual city. Players start out with a small amount of building materials and items, creating new structures by completing tasks and earning money. Each building within the town does something, which can be used to create new items. Farms can be harvested for crops, crops can be processed with factories and so on. The sheer amount of tasks on hand, from shipping to mining, make it a perfect game to drop into throughout the day, gradually building up the town along the way. A satisfying amount of co-op features allow for trading and gifting via the train, or competitive play during regular in game events. While Township has an impressive range of features and tasks to complete, it does have a tendency to fall into the free to play trap. Real world micro-transactions become increasingly necessary for town expansion, with growth slowing to a halt during late game.
Much to see
Township is a fun and engaging free to play game. The overall level of detail makes it a more addictive title than similar games, but the expense of purchasing supplies may be too much for some.
